No logistics for PAKATAN RAKYAT

Posted by tunabdulrazak on 27/02/2009

Most Dayak Iban longhouses are sited along the river banks. Therefore most bileks (families) have longboats. In the past, the BN would rent all the available boats for the whole of the duration of the campaigning period.

The same applies to the few landcruisers and vans available.

If Pakatan Rakyat do not act fast enough, the practice will recur. PR may have problems going to the interior. A new ‘opinion’ will  be formed, such as ‘lihat… satu pun tak ada PR pergi kempen sito. Mana boleh harap dengan PR? Sana sini kita lihat moto BN sahaja…’  trying to give the impression that PR will not be interested in their areas; that PR do not care at all.

The owners of the boats and landcruisers, after feeling indebted, will naturally be obliged to vote for BN, after having been paid the rentals, for no work done. They might only ‘work’ on the polling day, that will be to ferry himself and his family to the polling station.

Since there are not many longboats, landcruisers and vans, BN can easily afford to rent all that are available.

PR may be able to bring landcruisers to Batang Ai for use on limited road. But PR may not be able to bring many boats and marine engines to serve the canvassers in the interior.

There is no internet access, limited mobile signal and now questionable availability of physical logistics.

You get me DSAI?

No to BN’s ‘Rumah Angkat’

Posted by tunabdulrazak on 27/02/2009

Unlike in the past, where all Tuai Rumah were leaders of the longhouse folks, who were subservient to the anak biaks, present Tuai Rumah are mostly nominated, campaigned for and sponsored by the BarisanNasional network, via the ADUN and MPs. They are therefore normally yes-men leaders who serve the interest of Taib, Jabu and BN, first, before the interest of their anak biaks.

As believed to have been practised on many occassions, the BN might adopt a longhouse community, form a small commitee to live, eat and sleep in that longhouse for the whole of the campaigning period till polling day. The number of committee members will depend on the bileks (households), perhaps a committee member will look after 5 bileks.

They will bring with them goodies such as biscuits, sweets and kelopok for children. Suddenly these campaingers will become medics as they might be armed with medicine for fever, tummy ache and to bandage open wounds. They will bring alcoholic drink to poison our menfolks.  They will start singing old tunes on development projects, scholarship for the children and other bullshits.

The following day, and everyday for the whole of the campaigning period the drunken and semi-sober men folks will guard the entrance to the longhouse, against non-BN campaigners. The ill-equiped non-BN campaigners will naturally shy away, rather than to cause a commotion amongst their own Dayaks.

On polling eve, during another feast of pork and langkau, all  identity cards of eligible voters will be collected, in exchange of RM10, with applause of  ‘maniah uriang BN to’ (BN men are good).

On polling day, the  identity cards together with RM40 will be returned, (at times they might be asked to swear to vote for them). The voters will be guided to the waiting longboats or landcruisers and escorted to the polling station.

We must not allow the Rumah Panjang to be adopted by the BN, neither should PR do that. Open the community to all campaigners of whichever political party. Let the longhouse folks decide, democratically, whichever candidate they will vote for.

A jinx he is not.

Posted by tunabdulrazak on 26/02/2009

Correct. Nicholas Bawin is not a jinx. I beg to disagree to some sms and emails that I received claiming that he is a jinx, just because he lost twice in the same constituency.

His result improved. During the last election he missed by only 806 votes. That was pretty good, considering the fact that he was fighting alone against the might of Taib, Jabu and their BN machineries.

William Mawan lost a few times too. He only made it through via a SNAP-BN ticket, eventhough he was believed to have been a PBB implant.

Dr Jerip lost twice and was successful during his third attempt.

Nicholas Bawin will carry the PR flag to glory.

It will be a grave mistake for you to sideline him DSAI.

Tips for Batang Ai

Posted by tunabdulrazak on 26/02/2009

From Sarawak Headhunter.

Following is a comment on Dayakbaru Weblog for all to ponder:

A. Ahmad on February 25th, 2009 11:47 am

I have few advices for you. I’m a PKR member from Malaya who know nothing about Sarawak. But at least we can share some important issues concerning the by-election.

1. Set up a blogging group that will cover the by-election just like we did for Permatang Pauh and Kuala Terengganu. This will make the rest of the nation follow your blogs and will also deny the enemy to manipulate the situation. Furthermore, by having an effective blogging team solely for the by-election, you will influence many people who in turn will influence others. It is called opinion shaping.

2. The team must have cameras to take photos and must upload them daily. Concentrate on the followings:

a) Poverty in Sarawak and in Lubok Antu and Batang Ai.

b) Poor housing

c) Poor roads

d) Poor drainage

e) Poor development

f) Unemployment

g) Insecurity

h) Inequality

j) Wealth difference between the poor and the rich. Use photos to explain this like PR bloggers did for KT.

k) Transportation. Take lively photos of BN leaders’s cars, helicopters and etc and juxtapose the poor transportation system of Batang Ai and the bicycles of the poor voters.

l) Have a data on all the above issues so that when BN leaders tell the voters of this and that, you repudiate it immediately and also share with Malayans who are following the by-election just like in P.Pauh and KT.

m) Broken promises

n) Subjugation, divide and rule and disunity

o) Land grabbing and cronyism

p) Dams and displacement

q) Failed agriculture

r) Failed leadership

s) Sarawak’s backwardness and selective development

t) Failure of the health system and the un-affordability of treatment by the poor in Sarawak

Important Note:

All the above issues must be covered and carried out daily with photos and relevant pics for wider viewings and also awakening. Then distribute them to the uneducated voters and upload them in your blogs on daily basis for others to read, comment and know as well.

If you aren’t ready to fight like we did in P.Pauh and KT, then you will lose. Spend sleepless nights to deliver and save your Sarawak and move on to a new era where you decide your destiny. Don’t wait for outside help but act NOW and do something drastic. Peninsular bloggers can’t come to Batang Ai due to distance and the need for the two Bukits in Perak and Kedah, plus we are preparing for a showdown in Perak where we want to oust the illegal Umno MB and bring back our legitimate MB Mohd Nizar, though hopefully he will come to campaign in Batang Ai. By April, Pakatan will rule Perak again. Make no mistake about it.

The following bloggers can make a good team, plus the people/bloggers you may choose to work with for collecting information, editing it and taking photos.

1. Borneo Warrior
2. Dayakbaru
3. Dayaknation
4. Sarawakheadhunter
5. Selangaump2008
6. TbsBidayuh

7. The Broken Shield
8. United States Of All-Borneo

I hope you do something about this. Thanks. We were mistreated and manipulated like you Sarawakians but we woke up and that’s why we are doing our best to liberate ourselves from Umno and its evil institutions. It didn’t come easily. So, pliz work hard like us and you will relish the victory. We have terrified the enemy so much so that Umno can’t face PKR and PAS for Malay vote, yet yesterday they were bragging that they are the sole representatives of the Malay people. We rejected Umno and its cronies. It is your time now Sarawakians and deliver. Nothing comes easy and dignity has its price. Thanks and may God bless you all.

Kegilaan Melayu

Posted by tunabdulrazak on 22/02/2009

I am linking you to a post, written by a Malay intellectual, which I personally think is well written.

Ketuanan Melayu is therefore actually a propaganda to serve the interests of the elite Malays in UMNO and the royal family.

RM4m goodie from Najib

Posted by tunabdulrazak on 12/02/2009

My normal bedtime is 1 am, after the midnight news. Last night I went to bed at 10.00 pm, after having been away for almost a week. Eh… hem ….

It was around 10.30pm when my Nokia reminded me of the sms, saying Datuk Najib gave RM4m government grant to DBNA .

I am very happy for the gesture. DBNA deserves that. Actually Dayak Bidayuhs deserve more than that. Despite Dayak Bidayuh having given Barisan Nasional 100% return during every election, and non of them are ministers, we still remain good boys.

Despite the collapse of some SUPP ministers, whose ministerial positions are yet to be filled, our deserving, dedicated and royal but unappreciated Dr Jerip, Datuk Richard Riot and Ranum Mina are still with Barisan Nasional. So is our unappreciated and sidelined Datuk Peter Nansian.

Our appreciations and gratitude should go to the growing Bidayuh exodus to Pakatan Rakyat. Thanks to Tiyung Dayak, TBS Bidayuh, Dyaksblog, Dayak Baru, Broken Shield and all other bloggers, who always keep the Barisan Nasional leaders on their toes. Thanks to DBNA and BGA committed committee members, for doing their part.

Many readers feel that we bloggers are traitors and tidak kenang budi. We are actually not as what we seem to imply in our writings. We just want to write and remind our leaders of their devine duties, which you will not be able to read in the Barisan controlled press. We are all orang asal at heart.

Many a time we merely provoke, so that if the targeted readers and leaders buy the provocations, everybody benefits.

The goodie is our money. It does not belong to Najib. I will still go against any act or initiatives to name any Dayak identites as ‘Tun Abdul Razak”.

“Tun Abdul Razak” to me is a traitor to the Dayaks politics.

Chap Goh Mek Kongsi

Posted by tunabdulrazak on 11/02/2009

When Hari Raya and Chinese New Year fell quite close to each other on a few occassions, the government declared and celebrated Kongsi Hari Raya.

Kongsi Christmas Raya happened once. The government was trying to promote racial integeration, by compelling the non-Muslims to accept the idea of not having pork and alcoholic drink, which are halal food to non-Muslims, during celebrations.

Except in Bau Gold Town, all other Chap Goh Mek celebrations in Malaysia, are celebrated by the Chinese communities only.

During Chap Goh Mek in Bau, we have a Dayak Bidayuh invincible bonja sitting and standing on razor sharp objects and projectiles.

In Bangkayang, Kalimantan Barat, the atmosphere was completely different. There was only one Chinese bonja, while the seven others were Dayak Bidayuh Banyaduk. However the walking participants with skewers piercing though their cheeks and tonques were a mixture of Chinese and Dayak Bidayuhs.

There was a Muslim wind-instrument-band too. While the Muslim Mandura participants in the Singkawang procession participated actively in the rituals and were in trance, the Bangkayang Muslim Malay participants only played the Chinese tunes, such as Kongsi Kongsi Is Here.

The small Bangkayang bazaar was as crowded as packed sardine, especially by the Dayak onlookers from the rural areas. While the Dayak and Malay performers did their gig in the Chap Goh Mek celebration, the Chinese who still opened their shops must have had a windfall day.

In Singkawang, the Muslim Manduras who were in trance in last year’s Chap Goh Mek, were under house arrest by the Pembela Islam movement and police. They were prevented from participating in this year’s celebration. However those who managed to escape the house arrest, and later found in the procession, in trance, with skewers and even bizarre thorns piercing their cheeks, were left alone.

The number of Chinese Chap Goh Mek pilgrims from Malaysia, Jakarta, Batam and Singapore  flocking to Singkawang, is increasing every year, such that several days before the celebration, all hotel rooms were sold out.

I believe Gawia Sowak Bidayuh can be such a tourism product, if organised properly.img_0026

Tun Dr Mahathir said, “Melayu mudah lupa”.

Posted by tunabdulrazak on 07/02/2009

He said that many times on many occassions, especially when he was trying to remind the lucky Malays what the government has done for them.

Ezam commented last night via the racialist Malaysian TV3 that “mereka yang mula dulu, menerusi Bota….”.

Was Bota really jumping to PKR, or was Bota Bata merely came in to learn PKR’s latest strategy, and later masterminded the defections of two suspected curruptor- frogs to Barisan Nasional?

Barisan Nasional had always been evil. It was the evil Tun Abdul Razak who masterminded Stephen Kalong Ningkan’s (SNAP) fall, by bringing some Dayak YBs and Sarawak SCA to work with Yakub.

It was the evil Barisan Nasional, this time via Taib Mahmud, who masterminded PBDS’ fall, by bringing ungrateful Dayak YBs into Barisan Nasional.

It was also the evil Barisan Nasional, via Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed, who masterminded PBS’ ( Datuk Pairin ) fall in Sabah, by bringing some ungrateful Dayak Kadazan YBs into Barisan Nasional.

And now, I believe that it was also the evil Barisan Nasional, who threatened or perhaps induced the two Perak frog-YBs into  Barisan Nasional.

When saying so, Mahathir was actually referring to the Malay mass, who come most ly from the rural areas. Ezam chose to be one of these targeted group. Shame on you Ezam. No wonder during the last campaign in Permatang Pauh, you were actually talking shit to audiences who played-deaf to you.

Does the Perak Sultan forgets that it was Mahathir and UMNO who clipped certain powers away from the sultans, that the sultan now stupidly obeyed Najib?

Lets be straight Ezam, it is the Evil Barisan Nasional, who started it first, all the while.
